Pineapple, peach, floral, French 20% new, slight apricot. Tropical banana, not as oaky and buttery as Russian river a trip to the tropics wine.

We thought this older vintage was better balanced and more buttery with more oak than some of the newer vintages. It has mellowed and settled into a richness and the mouthfeel has become more smooth. Lowered citrus, but still very fresh.

2009 vintage. A while back this was one of my favorite every day Chardonnay. This vintage was one of the better ones that I kept around until a while ago when I pulled it for sipping with friends. It's still a very reasonable chard if you like creamy, oaky wine.....and I do. Lots of legs and creamy fruit but ultimately somewhat simple. Superb for every day drinking. I'll still pick up a bottle or two each year to check how the latest vintage tastes. There are a LOT of Chardonnay available but it's good to know which ones meet the personal bar of acceptability. This one does it almost every year. The 2009 was way above standard.

Medium lemon-gold. Notes of oak, vanilla, and hints of pear and citrus, with touches of banana, pineapple, and butterscotch. The palate is soft and creamy but lacks vibrancy. Full-bodied with medium acidity. A decent wine for casual sipping, but it doesn’t leave a lasting impression.

Nice fruit, a little warm, with well integrated, but not overbearing oak.

Gold color with aromas of buttery pineapple, crème brûlée, passion fruit, and mango. There's butter and oak on the palate, too, with notes of tropical fruit and moderate acidity. The finish has notes of piney resin—that mango thing again. This is a big, glossy wine, appealing to those who like the plush style of CA Chardonnay. 13.5% abv | sample
