High acidity. Too dry for my taste. I like dry wine but smooth tasting. I did not enjoy it.

Nose: plum, vanilla. Smells surprisingly Bordeaux-like. Taste: medium weight, bitter cherry, simple. It’s fine. 86-87. Not worth the $12 I paid.

The bible says Jesus the Nazearan arose from the grave on the third day to ascend into heaven...in reality he arose to go get another bottle of this wine

Very structured, fruity but not fruit forward. More earthy and organic smelling due to the old world orientation. Very long finish but not too tannic.

'85 Marques de Cáceres. Still holding on to some life... Probably better 10 years ago... but there's still nice vibrancy and structure. Fruit has fallen apart considerably though-- still forward with red fruit of strawberry, but it's lost its finesse and delicate nature. Just a touch of baking spice. Lovely notes of forest floor and wet potting soil which I really like and aren't far off of what you expect for Rioja. Not a mind blower by any means but better than just okay too. €8

Imported by Vineyard Brands. Serviceable red. Light wood and smoke notes. Acid medium minus.
