Grenache blanc/Viognier blend with a touch of Marsanne/Rousanne. Can smell the bouquet from the table top. White everything - lots of flowers and perfume, peaches, nectarine, slate and wet stone. Nice work from the Rhone Rangers!

5 Rhône white varietals led by Grenache Blanc. Dry and delicious. Nice weight. Great food wine.

Peach blossom, floral, almost honeyed, gardenias, medium bodied, round(malo), medium acid. Really nice. Lower acid is acceptable for me since they dry farm and I would imagine, don’t add acid.

The golden tint has a green element to it. The wine’s nose is a veritable fruit basket of tropical aromas - pineapple, mango, lemons - and a quarry full of minerals. The mouthfeel is rich and creamy, yet with a zing of acidity that tingles. The palate brings Meyer lemon, some tangerine and a touch of apricot to the party. Delicious.

This wine gives a pale golden color in the glass. The nose is more subdued than I expected. There is lemon, mango, almond, and minerality available to smell. The palate is more forceful, and a delight besides. Citrus minerals are joined by salinity and a racy acidity, which begs for a food pairing. Seafood is a natural pairing choice, but I loved it with dolmas and hummus.

Tablas Creek has long been one of my favorite Paso Robles producers. From the care they put into their vineyards—biodynamic farming, noisy sheep, a rambunctious trio of winery dogs, and a resident shepherd—the good folks at Tablas turn out elegant wines that are nuanced, superbly balanced and long aging. For the price, they're just that much more attractive. The 2016 Patelin de Tablas is fresh, light, convivial. Lemon curd and yellow apple lifted by a starburst of white mineral acid that courses through the center.
