Loads of tropical, squishy fruit with a slight whiff of Gorgonzola. We weren’t eating blue cheese so it wasn’t coming from anywhere else!

Balanced fruit, oak, acid, and sugar. Said no wine professional, ever.

It is what it is. Good to revisit once in awhile and my better half loves it :-)

My favorite-the wine that started it all and made me realize there are wines that are actually good.

Pale lemon in color. Full-bodied with medium acidity. Dry on the palate with mild complexity. Showing yellow apples, ripe citrus fruits, spices, roasted nuts, sea salt, oak and herbs. A little bitter on the finish, and better when properly chilled. This Carneros Chardonnay is rich and fruit forward. Easy drinking and buttery. Wine Spectator 90 points. Wine Advocate 90 points. Good right out of the bottle, and good by itself. A good party wine. Chardonnay grapes were aged in French and American Oak barrels for 9 months. 14.6% alcohol by volume. 88 points. $35.
