Cut grass, green peas, some tropical fruits in there somewhere and a floral note. High acidity, very green on the palate leaving a slight bitterness and alcoholic warmth.

Smells acidic but no bite, very mellow. Green apple and pear like a Sauvignon Blanc, tastes like a very ripe apple or pear. Golden color, new vintages are almost clear with a slight yellow tint. Smooth, full bodied nature of Chardonnay without the acidic crispness of a SB, as it finishes very smooth with no bitter acidic aftertaste. Long legs.

This is a very tasty Sauvignon Blanc from New Zealand. Dry on the palate with medium plus acidity. Nicely balanced and crisp with mild complexity. Showing limes, grapefruits, lemons, citrus, green apples, gooseberry, light tropical fruits, spices and white pepper. Good right out of the bottle and better when properly chilled. I paired it with Ahi Tuna Sashimi. 12.5% alcohol by volume. 90 points.

Found a 2006 vintage in the cellar, this was the number 40 rated wine by WineSpectator in 2006. It is still good! There’s no way this wine should still be good at this point

#sauvignonblancday #sauvblancday pours straw in color. Grapefruit, honeysuckle and lime aromas. Citrus flavor in your face with a slight acid at the finish. Crisp finish. Solid wine for the price. (We paid $13).
