Our starter wine was awesome and a pleasant surprise, but this was the opposite; extremely disappointing and a big let down! 1hr+ decant. Medium red color with brown tones. Not much with regards to nose except a bourbon presence. More Pinot than Bordeaux. Flimsy and weak with cherries and dirt. Very tannic and the alcohol is extremely noticeable. Not a bad bottle, but maybe an off bottle? Especially seeing how young it was. Oh well onto the next one!

Blind....a nose to die for, multy layered, long aftertaste. Smooth and sexy! Big wine! What? 2nd wine? Ur Kidding...? No? Damn! This is good!!! VCC is “on fire” since 2014 vintage.

2nd wine of Vieux Chateau Certan (one of my favourite Chateaus) @ £50 in top year but alas they are following that new trend of overly sweet wines - might give it another 12 months to re-evaluate as the 2014 was great last year
