On magnum, but it didn't help it, still to extracted for me!

This coats every inch of your mouth with massive amounts of fruit, chocolate, alcohol, and tannin. This is a huge #fruitbomb but in a serious way. Not my cup of tea, especially without a cowboy ribeye to enjoy with it. #torbeck #barossavalley #shiraz #syrah #australia #ctbucklinwine

2009, and still lots of life. Such a well crafted wine. Tons of red and black fruit, boysenberry comes to mind. Good acids and not over extracted by any means. Also some hints of black pepper that compliment fruit well. I would say biggest bang for your buck in higher end Aussies. Though David Powell is a bit of a train wreck, he knows how to make some fine tasting wine. Kudos

Hard to deny some of the best of this varietal are Aussie producers. This one stands out for its balance and power. Just terrific.

Pencil shavings and dark brooding raisins on the front palate. Finish is abrupt, wish it lingered longer.

2009. Too young. Baby killer. Needed about 5 hours of decanting before it started coming around. Wait 5-7 years
