Bright copper orange. Shy nose and medium palate of melon, baked quince, and spice. Medium plus acidity (it’s Friuli after all) and a wee pot of tannin on the medium long finish. MJB has brought us a wonderful northeastern Italian Ramato style PG that should appeal to everyone from casual drinkers to wine nerds. At home as a sipper, but will shine with a rich meal. Roast chicken, Bronzino, and a host of vegetable dishes will pair nicely. Drink now through 2023.

Okay considering I’m not a big Pinot Grigio fan. More mineral than anything. Peachy color, high alcohol on the palate, a little floral and no fruit.

Went back to the Sun Goddess well, and no hateration to MJB but it didn’t hold up as well as the memory. A little too fruity and was market-corrected by the rosé of the same Pinot Gris grape consumed just prior.

Mary (J. Blige) is in the house... (sorta) Copper toned, Mineral, straw, fennel on nose, Clean mineral upfront, peach skins, tea tannin. 12.5% ABV Very nice, clean mineral wine with light stone fruit notes and savory tannin aspect, better on lighter side of chilled.
