One of the most open knit SQN Syrahs I’ve ever had. I got to this after it had been opened maybe 30mins and it was singing! A wine that envelops all the senses. Smoked brisket, teriyaki sauce, iron, stemmy blackberry aromatics. A plush and iron fist in a velvet glove on the palate. Glycerin like texture. Ripe blackberries and rhubarb pie in the middle with a savory, smoky finish that lasts forever. Incredible! Thank you @Keith Fisher

Enjoyed this 100 point beauty that I acquired from @David L . thanks bud! Dinner with Christine, my Dad and his wife Joan is alwsays a great time to uncork one of these beauties. Stunning nose, elegance and finesse on the palate even if a huge monster. Godzilla in a pair of tights perfectly performing Swan Lake! Lush dark fruit, licorice (which I love) and an epic long finish. Truly spectacular! Everything one would expect from a badass SQN

Plush, lush and pure. Very approachable and drinkable now. Notes of Iron and blackberries, pine needles. Tannins on the finish but surprisingly open.

Wow. Immediately sharp and powerful from the first pour. Sizzling and spicy with lots of length. Earthy and rich. Such a lingering joy! My only problem was an over whelming feeling of slowing myself to make it last. Phenomenal!!

2014 vintage. Last tasted 4.26.23. Decanted both times. Deep, thoughtful nose interspersed with bludgeoned moments. Massive bod. A great blood orange streak in there from mid-palate to the not so bitter end. Still carrying plenty of baby fat and built for the long haul. 1.24.24.
