Sipping Fine Wine
A blend of 80% Tempranillo with 15% Garnacha, rest Graciano and Mazuelo, aged 5 years in American oak, deep Ruby with aromas of red fruits, spice and earthy notes. On the palate flavors of strawberry and black cherry with spice, tobacco and cedar notes. Fine rustic tannins, long finish, savory ending with tobacco and earthy character. Nice!

Silky, lusciously earth driven, but with developed and ripe red fruit character. All the woodsy notes you could want with Rioja, but the elegance of Burgundy (as intended).

Very supple tannins, but good acidity Classic Lopez de Heredia profile, v recognisable Nose - classic bouquet of woodsmoke, blood orange, dried cherry, aged meat, and a very faint hint of sweet vanilla. Palate - medium bodied, immediately hit with a burst of blood orange, cherry, the hallmark of these wines. Rich, but very precise, with firm acidity and dusty tannins. Very savoury, with tangy acidity and a pleasing finish. Drinking very well now but will age. I adore this style of rioja.

Ya know it’s Tempranillo, but damn, that nose could be Garnacha.15 % really comes to the fore. It’s iron bloody, w hints of soil. Jammy roses? It’s big bodied, but full of acidic lift, cherries, dusty earth, always brawnier than the brother Tondonia.fills your mouth with deep redness. I’ll always have room for these. Thanks@TRWC

N:Dark cherries , plums, strawberries and warm spices. Dark licorice, soil and wood. P:After 5 yrs in American oak, the palate is refined yet burly, oxymoronic. Not as delicate as Tondonia, but deeper, more rooted to the earth. Black/red. Delicious weight. These LdH wines are so iconoclastic, they live in their own space/time. One of the great treasures, I wish people hadn’t discovered them. These wines have loooonnng lives. Very rewarding Thanks@TheRareWine Co.
