Happy #WorldWhiskeyDay. Medium golden yellow. Quite Smokey and peaty on the nose with some brininess, caramel and vanilla. Similar palate tot he nose but with more vanilla. Pinch of heat beat the end and a bit oily.

Gather all the twigs in the forest, throw them in a pile, douse them in gasoline, light them on fire... put a plastic bag over it and catch the smoke... condense it and pour the liquid into a glass. Then drink it. Or lick an ashtray and you'll know what this scotch tastes like. It seems to be growing on me nonetheless.

Spartan, more than serviceable. Sauternes cocktails are a possibility.

Really one of my first, serious tastings of whiskey, & so, so evocative. Wild, swampy, just burned barn-just crazy, dream inducing stuff

Color of tea. Nose of smoke, peat, sweet dates, spicy and strong alcohol, and more coal like peat. The nose is powerful. Taste is another hit of smoky peat. First sip is dry, however the sweetness surfaces later. Hidden note of marginal sweet apple. Aftertaste shows some baked apple and more smoky peat note. Clean, powerful, straightforward, and tasty.
