Once again the ‘16s are drinking really nice now. Ripe black fruit on the nose. Getting blackberries, black cherries, and even some blueberry on the finish. Tannins really soft and delicate now. All coming together really nice at this point.

Earthy, black cherry, toasted oak, tobacco are prominent. Red fruit also. Ripe prominent fruit gives way to a still strong tannic structure. Decanted an hour. Very smooth yet complex. Tannins need more time to soften up a bit to enter its prime.
