Nice job for a tough year. This is a blue collar Riesling. Dark brass color, earthy nose, with loads of petrol-like minerality and lots of dried apricot. Intense and relatively weighty in the mouth, it packs a good initial wallop of minerality, with a bit of fruit, in a bone dry framework. Good acids. Persistence on the finish is lacking a bit, but otherwise lots of character.I agree with a prior tasting note I saw that this — surprisingly for a young wine — tastes like a well-aged Spatlese Trocken.

Dead ringer for an aged (10+ yo) spätlese trocken Riesling. Dried Apricot, peach, mango and petrol. Wow.

Drinks like a dry late harvest. It’s pretty amazing.

6 bottle resiling flight voted the worst with strong aromas and taste of petroleum that nobody was a fan of

Dark gold color. Aromas of cooked peaches, white flowers, petrol and a bit of funk. Peach, tangerine and lemon dominate the pallet with hints of lime, apricot and ginger. Touch of mineral on the finish. Bristling acidity and waxy texture. Not as good as prior vintages. My bottle might actually be starting to oxidize.

I enjoyed every minute with this cheap little NY screw cap for three traits I love in riesling. Deep gold color. Overt honey tones. Dry. An extrovert that doesn't come together with absolute precision, but honestly who cares when its slathered in honey? It looks aged, pours like nectar of the gods, and smells like the grocery store golden stuff in the plastic squeeze bottle. Nothing fancy. Smells sweet, some grip and texture in the mouth.

I’ve had EE Riesling before in the past, but didn’t appreciate it as much as I did now. Fragrant on the nose, with some fruit and some mineral. On the palate, a lovely mouth feel with very balanced acidity. Almost tastes Alsatian. Nicely done.
