The 2012 Maya is fabulous. Deep and explosive, the 2012 remains quite young. Black cherry, chocolate, espresso, licorice and gravel, along with the wine's natural concentration, convey and impression of virile intensity. As good as the 2012 is today, another few years in bottle certainly will not hurt. (Antonio Galloni, Vinous, May 2024)

The Cab Franc in the Maya is so appealing. Rich and fruity but also fresh, like a ripe plumb with a sprig of mint.

Aromatic lift, precision and intensity are the signatures of the 2012 Maya. Savory herbs, mint, violets, spices and red cherry jam are woven together in an intricate fabric of flavors and textures that captivate all the senses. Pure power and finesse are rarely found together to this degree... (Antonio Galloni, Vinous, Oct 2015)

Such a baby and shouldn't even be drunk yet. Really hasn't developed but lots of potential here. I still prefer the 2011.

Great stuff with a long life ahead. Just entering its drinking window.
