I didn’t buy any 2015 BDX save 3 random bottles of Roc de Cambes (sentimentality won the day as I’ve had some excellent bottles over the years). I decided to open one a few nights ago because, why not? The nose is full of joy...violet, plum, mocha and eucalyptus. Stylish without being overwrought. It continues to impress on day #2. Velvety and generous without losing its shape. It seems to balance the hallmarks of modern winemaking combined with a warm vintage without sacrificing soul and personality. Very impressive for early days. I’m confused, but ultimately, quite pleased.
