Really lovely perfume. Plum, violets, a hint of tobacco and tar. On the palate fresh and savory with quite a lot of the grip of youth. This has a long way ahead but is a very good wine.

Quite cold blooded. Dark inky fruit. Velvet and good quality.

Always a treat when the taste exceeds the price point. Perhaps the 20 years makes a difference!

Very fruit forward given the vintage. A classic pomerol

Still feels a bit tight - opening after 2h decant. Nose is a bit unyielding but has a perfume of plums and graphite. Tannins are still a bit sharp but the black fruit balances things out. A slight sour note on the finish takes a bit away from an overall nice wine

Nice Pomerol that has plenty of primary fruit after a 2.5 h decant. Very linear, however, very little going on apart from dark fruit on the nose and palate. Tannins are almost blended but not quite. Will likely hold my other bottle for a few more years. Update after 3.5 h: starting to come more into form now with violets and ripe black cherries. Much more structured. A long decant is necessary

The plums and cherries! This is showing very well. Tannins are falling back, a slight earthiness, the slightest leather, and a long finish.
