Tried côte à côte with the Cos D'Estournel '96, albeit the G.Larose was 375ml, this was so intensely concentrated/balanced & showing beautiful intensity of fruit. A true standout, but I've always loved this wine.

One of my favorite Bordeaux, always seems to have just the right amount of oak interaction for the intensity of fruit, this '96 is singing right now. 375ml.

Honesty gets you a long way in life. And I personally thought this wine didn't have a lot to give....flat flavours, tannins were harsh. Let it breath for 3 hours and decanted it...still nothing
