Tasted blind. Scarlet tawny color, opaque with thin rims. Nice nose with notes of red fruit, cedar desk, dusty earth, mocha, leather saddle and some spices. Good structure with softened but present tannins. Has a nice richness to it. Guessed 86 Cos. This is better than most previous samples I’ve had of this.

Tasted blind. Dark color but doesn’t seem too old. Nice old world nose. Notes of plums, old wood, some barn floor, some gravel stone, and some spice. I deduce that this is 80s Bordeaux but I say I don’t think it’s an 82. I go with a guess if 85 Haut Brion. When revealed I remember how the 82 Calon Segur plays it’s hand. It gets bigger and better over the evening. Good stuff but I wouldn’t wait much longer on opening these.

Tawny scarlet color, dark and opaque. Black fruit, forest floor, cedar and a little camphor in the nose. Rich and powerful in the mouth but with delicate fruit. Tannins are nicely integrated. There is a strong structure that evolves and softens with air, and which is followed by a nice, lengthy finish.
