Not in my typical wheelhouse but has that hedonistic likability. Extra special to be drinking it with the owner at the estate! (Played "America the Beautiful" on the bells atop the Chateau upon our appearance!)

The James Bond red. This 2011 is one of the darkest wines I have ever seen. Massive and concentrated in a vintage reputed to be light, this blend of about half and half Merlot and Cabernet Franc is bound to be lauded by the critics. I can't fault it- the freshness is there too.

The 2011 was by far the best. An amazing year for angelus and the 12 is now a classe a designation! Beautiful. So approachable wig fine grain tannins and a blackberry profile going on.
