From dad during a visit in late 00’s, in my wine loving infancy. Managed to sit on it, curious to see what would happen. Opened with dad last night to celebrate. Dark purple. Stewed fruits, cigar box, faint cocoa. Bordeaux-esque. Mellowed nicely with age.

Steak Night!!! This wine rocked from the moment poured from the decanter. Didn’t need much airtime to be very expressive and provide great fruit and depth. Held up well and was better than Caymus SS ‘06. Not even close

Had this along side the 2005 and the '04 was noticeably weaker. More like a medium body Bordeaux and a big Napa can. That being said it was still great just got a bit overpowered by the steak.

Signature Napa cab profile. I would say it's singing right now and still has a few really good years to it. Fruit is still full and voluptuous. Dark fruits, black cherry plum. Some really nice earth tobacco spice. Lingering finish. So good
