Early on, this was a probably my favorite of the three Moutons and showed well throughout the course of the evening. Expressive red and dark forest fruits with tobacco, leather, earth and baking spices. The structure was still showing its tensile strength. This has a long life ahead. Drink now through 2040.

Fun night celebrating a dear friend’s birthday at Lucio’s BYOB over dinner. Everyone brought their own bottles to share with the group that was gathered. . Such a special treat: Back-to-back birth year Moutons. These were incredibly well-preserved and so full of life and vitality. Balanced and harmonious, the notes were lush and clearly defined: clove, mint, eucalyptus, leather, ash, with delicate dark fruits giving a sense of life and youthfulness. This was ethereal.
