One of those wines that make you think you needn't look much further. Of course I'll look much further, but this wine was just about it. Superb bottle.

Very fresh, bright and young. Frankly, suffers in comparison with the 96, but super good fruit. Lime, chalk, slate, dazzling minerality and an intense palate with huge drive. A real baby. I suspect this won’t have the quality of the 96 but a zesty, wine with loads of potential.

Round nose of quince (and brief tropical) fruit, as well as spice, chalky minerality, and floral notes at the finish. Palate is far more expressive and round, with juicy, vibrant fruit, lees and malic richness, and pungent vibrant floral and herbal character overall. Not classic Chablis but still very much delicious and classically approachable even for Raveneau.
