Don’t recall the last Garagiste wine that has met the email hyperbole. But this was fucking good. Especially for the price!

Really nice Brunello. Some fleeting moments of greatness but overall don't see how this was #13 wine of the year 2015 by WS.

This Brunello is one of the best I have tasted. Let breath for at least 1 hour. 2010 vintage

Moderate garnet core with tawny colored rim. Dried cherry, fig, and leather on the nose. Big, bold red fruit on the palate with 15% alcohol, beautiful tannic structure, and balanced acidity. This beauty from a classic producer is drinking very well right now with a long life yet ahead of it.

Not my usual experience with brunellos. I think it is a little young, I decanted for 3 hours. The nose has a light bright start, very herbal almost like a Rosemary or lavender, also has some barnyard tones. It gives way to dark cherry, tobacco and leather, the usual brunello suspects. palate: immediate dry sucks the moisture from the mouth, I wish I could pick out more but repeats the leather/tobacco/dark fruits. Overall for $40 I want a little more, back to Valpolicella Edit: Ok hour 4 it opened up to be what I expect from a brunello in the positive ways changing for an 8.6 to a 9.2
