Likely one of the first, if not THE first, full skin-contact, real "amber" wine iteration of domestic Riesling on the market. Simultaneously rich and concentrated yet full of vibrancy and energy. Rich nose of dried apricot and bruised nectarine, wet slate, and orange blossom and jasmine, with more subtle tones of chai tea and classic Riesling petrol. Palate echoes the nose with a just bit more emphasis placed on mineral intensity, plus a slight phenolic bitterness. Dry; acid is medium (+), body is medium but with lovely texture from phenolic extraction and fine lees aging in neutral barrel. Medium (-) intensity of fine grained tannins. An impeccable, intriguing wine, and I hope that Bill continues to make "orange" Rieslings such as this because they're a splendid example that shows that Riesling is certainly a fine candidate for the extended skin contact treatment.

Skin fermented. Interesting stuff, almond and apricots, good acid. Not sure this is my jam.
