Good to taste the 2015. Very good, but can use some aging.

Finally opened dad's Christmas gift from last year. Justin did not disappoint! This is a splendid well balanced Cab! It's a great quality people pleaser.

Jammy, light. Not a tropical dry big red. But finishes really dry and velvet.

Always a big fan of Justin wine. Good flavors, albeit a bit pricy for paso. Picked this one up at Ralph’s as I knew it was a good one. It is. Mellow and mild but you taste the blackberries and cherry.

Fruit forward with black and red fruits, moderate tannins, enough acid to hold together so not too flabby. Med finish. Entry wine for Justin winery, would like more!

Ruby in color, and cloudy, with a wide purplish rim. Sour nose of raspberries, cherries, blueberries, wood, cloves, vanilla, smoke, spices, light chocolates, metals, peppercorn, light vegetables and pencil lead. Medium plus in body with medium plus acidity and nice legs. Dry on the palate with black currants, plums, bell pepper, oak, licorice, cloves, earth, vegetables, vinaigrette, leather, tobacco leaf, cola, graphite and peppercorn. Medium in finish with soft tannins and black pepper. This is a nice Cabernet from Paso Robles, California. Not fully balanced yet, but enjoyable nonetheless. Shows nice complexity and mouthfeel, but still young. Needs a year or two in the bottle to mature. Good by itself or with food. Needs an hour to open up properly. Drank from a half bottle. I paired it with a cheese plate and crackers. Aged for 14 months in American Oak barrels (25% new). 14.5% alcohol by volume. $25.

Get some vanilla and chocolate with those baked fruits. A bit jammy. But pretty solid for a Paso Cab.

Underwhelmed by this wine. Don’t know why everyone is raving about it. Might try some of the other more expensive wines from Justin. But this one lacks flavor and aromas. It was just a little sweet and that’s it. Thought it got better at the end of the evening.
