Hot. Peppery. Some dark fruit but really no complexity. Abrupt finish.

Couldn't do it. Too sweet, but also oddly bitter. No subtlety.

If entry-level CdRs are any indication as to what we can expect from the top cuvées in 2015, the vintage might just live up to the hype. Opens with a distinct perfume that blends incense and black fruit, orange peel and fig, and chalk and spice. Despite how tight this is, the wine continues to unveil its additional layers on the palate, including espresso, pungent herbs, and a healthy dose of minerality.
