Eola-Amity, firm tannins, a bit rustic in the best kind of way. better with decanting or on day 2

Aptly named, Drouhin's Rose Rock Pinot Noir hails from a parcel seated at the southern tip of the Eola-Amity Hills, the grapes harvested from this site are grown in ancient volcanic soils and benefit from the cooling Van Duzer winds. Blithe floral notes; a bouquet of wild roses, lavender, lilac, dust, anise, spice, and crushed stones lead into a wine with arching acidity that spreads languidly across the palate amidst black fruit notes, fine tannins, high-toned cranberries and toast. 14.1% ABV

Solid, great floral essence, has a lot of rose petals, dried lavender, mineral essence of river stones, a bit of burn, affirms it's a 14%+ Pinot, and some spice. Palate is silky, red fruit driven with a bit of rhubarb pie sitting in there. Totally worth the money, at around $34-36. Good value Pinot.

Very lively aromatics. Fruit is coming from Eola-Amity hills grown in primarily volcanic soils giving it nice minerality - aromatics of crushed rocks, hay bale, dried herb and fresh mashed blueberries. Pallet showed lean, soft fruit - sweet raspberry, cranberry, lavender, and nutmeg spice amid a soft finish. Great effort.

Floral and spicy nose with hints of barnyard, forest floor. French oak but just 20% new so it's subtle. On the palate it's cherry au poirve.
