Walter Hansel Winery The South Slope Vineyard Pinot Noir 2013

$44.95

The 2013 Pinot Noir South Slope once again stands out for its boisterous, explosive personality. Bold, intense flavors race across the palate as this powerful, resonant Pinot shows off its class and personality. Expressive spice notes wrap around a core of dark red fruits in an expressive Pinot that delivers the goods, and then some. Antonio Galloni, Vinous Media

Is this a Pinot?! Not for the faint at heart who want a predictable Russian River Pinot. First sip I didn't enjoy. Cough syrup and thick. Nose has red fruit and some cola. After it breathed it was more enjoyable if you're not looking for a mild mannered Pinot.

Big, powerful and many to age. Candied red cherry and strawberry, ripe pomegranate, violets, lavender, Cola, and lots of oak influence.
