Zesty citrus, floral, peach, pear and spice aromas jump from the glass to reveal clean, crisp and pure flavors wrapped around a tangy core of ripe acidity that culminates in a chiseled and gorgeously vibrant finish. This has a touch of the exotic on the finish... An impressive 1er that is highly recommended. Burghound.com

Nice young yellow canary color. Heavy in the glass. Tropical nose with notes of sea breeze, lemon, kiwi, white stones and tan spice. Glycerol and rich in the mouth. California like, but with nice Chablis nuances. I wonder how this will evolve over next 10 years. Maybe like 92’s?

On a warm evening I was looking to serve something to start the night and this was a solid choice. Nice color with a fruit forward nose. This reminds me more of a really good CA Chardonnay than a 1er Cru bottle from Chablis, but I knew that going in. Lots of fruit, with light fine grained acidity. Went down quickly.

Heavy, straw gold. Great nose with floral and fruit notes. Plus stone pebbles, some spice and a hint of honey. Rich and powerful in the mouth. This has improved since my last bottle a few years ago and bottles like this can get better with more slumber time.

Back up bottle pulled because of the corked 05 Clos. Lighter color, straw gold. Side by side it makes the taint in the Clos more obvious. Notes of white flowers, quince, honeydew melon, stones, white clay and a tiny bit of honey. With adequate air this expands and gets huge. Both bottles have that sort of welcome dirtiness I find in both Dauvissat and Niellon. More subdued than the flamboyant Clos, and needs more age to reach its potential. Yet this is really good right now.
