Tenuta San Leonardo San Leonardo Red Blend 2010

$59.99

...a seamless and polished wine that shows the best of this estate and this vintage. This is a profound and lasting wine with a bouquet that opens to dark fruit tones backed by spice, leather, tobacco and polished river stone...offers good material (in terms of richness, acidity and structure) to promise a steady aging evolution ahead. This edition of San Leonardo is gorgeous with a capital G. eRobertParker.com

When in Portofino - drink like a worldly Italian!! This wine was a surprise find on my way to buy an ornellaia or chiappini - my two favorite Bolgheri wines with muscle AND finesse in the glass. This wine is from a cooler region in Italy however the Cabernet and Merlot could not have been shown better. There is pepper on the palette but otherwise the perfect balance and structure of these Bordeaux varietals. There is leather on the front end, and the acidity and lower alcohol made this wine a great addition to our meal. A guaranteed winner of any blind tasting!!

Tastes like a CNDP! It's delicious and really does taste French. Bold and fruity but not overly so. We really loved it!!

Compared to vintage '04, '06and '07, this is not the best among them. A little disappointing by comparison but it is still a nice wine.
