Bright medium golden-yellow. Very mineral on the nose and in the mouth; razor-sharp acidity lifts the ripe orchard fruit, lime and minty herb flavors. Multilayered and very complex, displaying repeating citrus notes on the long, crystalline finish... Outstanding wine -- undoubtedly one of the best white wines ever made by Tenuta delle Terre Nere. Wow, this is really very very good! Yellow flowers, apricot, lemon curd, iodine, lovely touch of almond skin bitterness, good citric acidity, mountanous minerality, saline nuances in the loooong aftertaste. Very complex stuff, and very harmonious and well balanced, too. Stylistically somewhere inbetween a Pessac and a Puligny. Highly recommended.

this is tough ~ it offered yellow fruits (plum, apple & pear), fresh Mediterranean herbs, crushed minerals and/or shells, richness yet focused ~ but it quickly lost its vibrancy and tasted muffled or muted with a more dull finish ~ kind of hard to explain ~ you could perceive the potential, but...

Wow...what a complex, stylish dinner companion. Medium yellow-gold in the glass—-waxy, medium weight...floral, yellow fruit, touch of savory herbs, biscuit. Beautiful structure with acidity and a touch of bitter grip on the finish. Very unusual, and very, very tasty! 100% Carracante. I’m finding Etna Whites simply outstanding... and with some bottle age, rivaling some of the worlds highest regarded white wines!
