A Bordeaux blend of predominately Cabernet Sauvignon, the 2009 Larose offers a medium garnet color and slight sweaty saddles, iodine and bandaid characters over a core of preserved black berries and black forest cake plus a cedary undercurrent. Medium-bodied with plenty of mature fruit remaining on the palate and firm, chewy tannins, it has good persistence. Robert Parker's Wine Advocate
