Starmont Winery and Vineyards Carneros Chardonnay 2013

$13.99

Light-bodied and modestly priced, this is a wine for a wide circle of friends, great for midweek meals and larger weekend gatherings. Hazelnut and caramel-honey confront the senses, while the palate offers balance and zesty acidity. The finish is soft and subtle. Wine Enthusiast

Not my style, but it's nice. Not too buttery. Falls a little flat on the end...

Decent: saw this w/bottle age on close out and took a shot: golden colored, fragrant with toasty coconut & vanillin oak, ripe fruit (peaches, pear, apricot) and melon - vibrant acidity that was balanced by a fattened up rounded off mouthfeel. Short-ish finish.

Fresh and crisp nose of apple, apricot, pear, light vanilla, and hint of white flower and chalky minerals. Bottle age has given the bright acidity some round edges. Very pleasant.

Tolerable for someone who doesn’t like chard.

Light yellow color. Nose of flower garden, lemon, and pineapple. Nose is a bit closed. Taste is a lacking and out of balance.

Disappointing until you leave it the glass to open up for a while. Too sparkly without rich fruit tones. Would be good at $7 or less but not $10

The restaurant listed this as Merryvale Chardonnay, so I though I needed to try it since I like the reds from Merryvale very much. But restaurant brought this one out. A soft and simple Chard from the Carneros AVA. While Starmont is part of the Merryvale family, this is certainly not up to the high standard of Merryvale

Decent with cheese or fish, but nothing special. However, good for the price ($10 at Costco)

Costco? $19. On line. Drank cold. Even better warmer. Good stand alone. Min oak. Crisp. Buttery

A smooth silky wine with a buttery toast, pear, and peach flavor. A slight hint of apricot on the exit. A very enjoyable wine for a Friday evening after work.
