Schäfer-Fröhlich Felseneck Kabinett Riesling 2015

$25.99

The Felseneck Kabinett 2015 was made from three small, very steep parcels... The wine is utterly classic in size, shape and filigree, offering up a really lovely bouquet of pear, lemongrass, a touch of currant leaf, a beautiful base of slate, wild yeasts and a topnote of spring flowers. On the palate the wine is medium-bodied, filigreed and dancing, with lovely intensity of flavor, crisp acids and a beautifully focused, racy finish. Classic, ethereal Kabinett. (Drink between 2016-2040). John Gilman, A View from the Cellar

Nothing like a good whole roasted chicken to show off the wine. So concentrated & pure, slightly oily. Kerosene & rock candy on the nose. The sweetness comes in waves, with pitch perfect acidity & poached pear, green grapes, & some floral thing on the palate. Intense, never cloying. What a wine from what a vintage.

A juicy Nahe Kabinett of breadth. Apple jam, pear compote, petrol with a subtle sweaty flavor. Palate coating, just the right amount of sweetness, and beaming with acid.

Excellent tension between Sweet and acidity. Nice mineral flavor balanced by stone fruits. Great with spicy food. 2015 was quite a good vintage

Almost clear. Peach, apricot, & then well balanced with acidity & minerality. Floral finish. Refreshing.
