Really nice. Very youthful and vibrant. From a good vintage comes a really nice wine with lots of blackberry and ample weight in the front and sort of a truffle chocolate texture somewhere in the middle. Excellent structure. Hint of pepper on the finish. Tannins have really started to integrate in this wine but still with rather youthful influence here. Would go well with a nice filet mignon. I'd say it is definitely time to start consider drinking these if you have them although I think the structure is there to last another 5 to 7 years.

Great, structured but uncomplicated, outstanding US claret. Black currant, black cherry, licorice, with tobacco that lead to a massively solid structure. Easily has another 10-15 years. A long and tannic finish.

Nice wine overall. Does not need a decant at this point in its evolution, but certainly needs a chill to tame a bit in my opinion. Slightly uninteresting but lots of somewhat jammy red fruit offset by a touch of acid and refinement on the finish. Still definitely a “Parker wine” but with a holiday ham it actually stood up quite nicely.

Smoooooth. My first Rudd- inspired by @David A Lentine. Pretty amazing for a 15 year old. Musty nose, ripe blue fruit, finish is still very long. Won't be my last!

2001 magnum. This is classic Napa valley. Big, bold Oakville cab. Deep notes of vanilla, oak, cassis, spice and ripe berry. This baby is mature and drinking at its prime. 95pts
