Romano Dal Forno Amarone della Valpolicella Corvina Blend 1995

The opaque purple-colored 1995 Amarone is nearly perfect. It is reminiscent of super-concentrated blackberry liqueur infused with incense, smoke, and minerals. Full-bodied, dense, and chewy, this huge offering possesses remarkable purity and liveliness for its size and intensity. Robert Parker

I knew something was up when Mrs A grabbed the last glass in my flight and quickly poured it all into her glass. "This one is mine. You can have the other ones" She was kind enough to allow me a sip. On the sweeter end of the Amarone spectrum, but deep and powerful. Excellent. Thank you @Michael Meyer , Arch Duke of Amarone.

This was power and richness beyond belief and comprehension. Still a baby at 21 years old! It kept improving in the glass throughout the long night. A WOTN in the making but maybe not tonight. Almost demi-sec, gateway to Reciotto roots, thick-a-brick with concentrated plum raisin flavors but fresh acidity and imminence to amaze and keep you coming back for another taste (especially with some late night cheeses!).
