Rivers-Marie Sonoma Coast Pinot Noir 2017

$35.99

The 2017 Pinot Noir (Sonoma Coast) is another captivating wine in this range. Floral, perfumed and beautifully lifted, the 2017 has a lot to offer. Crushed flowers, raspberry, mint and chalky notes add an attractive aromatic top register. There is so much to like. In fact, I won't be surprised if the 2017 blossoms even further with more time in bottle. Antonio Galloni, Vinous Media

Blood orange, pomegranate, pine needle, gripping tannins. Reliably good.

Needs time. Couldn’t resist. Killed way too early but very good. Well made with lots of alcohol and fruit today but in two or three years it should be $$$$$$$

10/2020. Third Pinot this month that I really enjoyed. Good body and flavor. Paired well with the fried flounder at Mr. Friendly’s.

As always, QPR is one the best I’ve found.

First time for me here, an amazing nose of caramel corn. Terrific wine, plush and juicy - such a great value!

Finally decided to open the 17. Certainly an evolution from the past two vintages. Very different from the 15 and 16, which were unique in their own way. This is more limber and light on its feet. Less baking spice than the 15 and less cherry tartness than the 16. Overall better than the 16 but not as good as the 15. However, remains a tremendous value!!
