A worthy follow up to the 2004 is the 2005 Vina Bosconia Reserva, a wine that they consider the most rustic and powerful in the winery, but that I find as elegant and subtle as it gets. This feels very much in line with the 2004, maybe a notch above even, a lower yielding year... The tannins are velvety and there is great acidity--a constant here...elegant. I simply loved this wine... Robert Parker's Wine Advocate

Elegant and enchanting as always...I think I prefer Bosconia in this vintage for its soaring red fruit and herbal aromatics and perfect synthesis of sweet, savory, floral and rustic elements.

Wow, this really blew me away. Upon opening, lots of tertiary aromas - cedar, leather, rich earth - which gave way after decanting to a beautiful and pure fruit expression. Wild raspberries & ripe red cherries, both a touch funky, crunchy and mineral. Baking spice, dried leaves, and some green steminess are there too. Great fruit-driven acidity with integrated silky tannins. Drinks like something much much younger than it’s 13 years. I’m there with people who are saying this is Burgundian. Elegant and complex, will definitely be grabbing some more!

Nothing to complain about here. Structure, balance, and more life ahead. Drinking beautifully with filet mignon or on its own. Tobacco and leather meet earthy, stewed fruit and ripe tannin.

After the oak blows off, this is tempranillo at it's most Burgundian

Uber traditional, complex, well developed. Always delicious.

Singing in the glass with gorgeous aromatics that don’t let on to it’s age. The palate displays more maturity with sun baked cherries, forest leaves, and sandalwood. Grainy tannin with a long, fresh finish of cranberry and faint vanilla. I don’t picture this getting any better, but there’s certainly no rush with the ‘05.
