Peter Michael Winery Le Moulin Rouge Pinot Noir 2012

$149

The 2012 Pinot Noir Le Moulin Rouge Pisoni Vineyard possesses black raspberry and blueberry fruit, a hint of rose petals, and a medium to full-bodied, luscious mouthfeel. It should drink nicely for 5-7 years. Robert Parker

Superb. It’s drinking really well now with a punch of fruit forward notes...sweet blackberry, mulberry, ripe blueberry. Fantastic shade of red/purple in the glass with beautiful translucency. Violets, baked mixed berry pie and cedar underbrush. Downright delicious.

2012 vintage. Vibrant color and fresh nose. Light-bodied as always from this producer. Mostly a mix of berries + overripe cherry in the flavors with a Swiss chard retainer on the borders. No rush to crush.

Lots of red fruit showing through. Rewarding from sip to swallow. One of the better PM Pinot’s that I have had.

2012 Peter Michael Le Moulin Rouge Pinot Noir. Drank at Dad’s bday at Carlitos before the 1982 Mouton. At first, thought this bottle had been stored incorrectly. It tasted really hot and alcoholic. But, mellowed out and got smoother in the glass. Still, just wasn’t quite up to what K hoped for.

Raspberry depth of fruit, lite but rich in flavors. Integrated now and imagine even more over time.

2012 was a winemaker's tour d' force and this Peter Michael offering is a titan among the greats of the vintage. VGS!
