Nicolas Potel Charmes-Chambertin Grand Cru Pinot Noir 2005

The 2005 Charmes-Chambertin gives a quite raw, carnal and fresh-fruited account of itself, offering plenty of fresh, ripe cherry and strawberry as well. The tannins here are very fine-grained and a silky textural sensation is emerging. Hints of black tea and herbal distillates hover persistently, and the finish is long, juicy and especially bright. Much more bright fruit on the nose. Tart cranberry in the mouthful. The finish was very wound. Opened a bit but nowhere as Smooth and silky as the Potel Chambertin we had yesterday
