The top white of the lineup, the 2012 Ermitage l'Ermite Blanc comes from the upper part of Hermitage hill, in the l'Ermite lieu-dit (which is located around the Chapel). Showing the hallmark seriousness, focus and delineation of the terroir, it gives up incredible aromas and flavors of caramelized peaches, brioche, honeysuckle, quince and crushed rock to go with a blockbuster, full-bodied profile on the palate. Possessing off-the-charts purity, good acidity and a finish that just won't quit, this perfect white will most likely evolve for longer than I'll be around. Robert Parker's Wine Advocate
Starting to shut down but still about as good as white wine gets! Incredible minerality.
