I think they overdid it. This was a hot vintage and the upshot is that the 15% alcohol nearly overwhelms some of the complexity baked into the wine. That said, the cherry hard candy, rose water notes and luscious tannins make this hard to resist. Gotta be honest, the first gulp of this medium bodied wine had too much leather and rubber tire in it for me. But give it time - slowly but surely, it delivers.
