The estate's 1999 Tignanello is a wine in which the Sangiovese plays a leading role. Classic notes of tobacco, dried cherries, spices, leather and underbrush all emerge from this sweet, layered offering. This richly textured generous Tignanello has put on significant weight in bottle and shows remarkable overall balance. In 1999 Tignanello comes across as more complete than Solaia. Anticipated maturity: 2008-2017. Robert Parker's Wine Advocate

Another solid bottle in a great space age wise. Wait 5 years for more funk or drink now for pure hedonism.

It was good but it was eclipsed by the Brunellos. Discussed over dinner how we really enjoy younger Tiggys but nice nonetheless.

Showing way better than the last bottle I had in November. Such a pretty wine with both richness and grace.

#Tig never disappoints and ages beautifully. A bit of brett on the nose of this bottle.

Perfect time to drink. Aged yet poised. Pencil and dark cherry with nearly perfectly balanced tannin. Love it!

From a restaurant list. Dark brooding color. Opaque. Good funk in the nose with notes of dark fruit, tobacco, wood, and a little eucalyptus. Nice structure and velvet tannins. Good showing.
