Louis Jadot Corton-Pougets Grand Cru Pinot Noir 1990

$149

...spectacular wine. This is a specialty of the house and is often among the finest red wines from the Corton appellation. The 1990 is a huge, massive, monster of a wine, with extraordinary richness, a viscous texture, and astonishing chewiness in its glycerin-dominated, high alcohol, tannic finish... Given the number of wines produced by Louis Jadot in 1990, it is hard to believe anyone has ever been more successful with so many different appellations. Moreover, what is so admirable about the Jadot red burgundies is that each of the wines is different... Robert Parker
