$52.99

Intense aromas of dried citrus and meat with hints of rose bush and fresh rosemary. Full body with full, velvety tannins and a decadent, rich finish. Fascinating flavors of spice, citrus and meat. Loads of fruit. From biodynamically grown grapes. James Suckling

Not my usual experience with brunellos. I think it is a little young, I decanted for 3 hours. The nose has a light bright start, very herbal almost like a Rosemary or lavender, also has some barnyard tones. It gives way to dark cherry, tobacco and leather, the usual brunello suspects. palate: immediate dry sucks the moisture from the mouth, I wish I could pick out more but repeats the leather/tobacco/dark fruits. Overall for $40 I want a little more, back to Valpolicella Edit: Ok hour 4 it opened up to be what I expect from a brunello in the positive ways changing for an 8.6 to a 9.2
