Kistler Vine Hill Vineyard Chardonnay 2012

$74.95

The honeysuckle, white currants, quince and wet rock/mineral notes of the crisp yet full-bodied, concentrated 2012 Chardonnay Vine Hill are fresh, lively, exuberant and, at the same time, powerful and elegant. This is a beauty, combining both elegance and depth. It should drink well for 5-7 years. Robert Parker

Awwwww yeah. Would love to try some older vintage Kistler.

Absolutely phenomenal California Chardonnay... Tons of ripe juicy white peach, Meyer lemon zest, and humongous amounts of minerality on the mid palate and finish

Beautiful Chardonnay, great acidity, awesome aromatics and a soft, focus driven mouth feel. Vintage 2012

The 2012 Vine Hill Chardonnay is very restrained. It is pale yellow gold with yellow green tents. Aromatically it is very restrained with hints of pear and citrus but needs time to open up. On the palate the wine has not quite the acidity of the 2011 but the wines are strikingly similar in structure with a tiny bit more richness in the 12 versus the 11.

So this wine is tremendous and I'm glad it was a gift as I normally wouldn't spend this much on a bottle ... especially a white. But yeah this blew my socks off

A wonderful, creamy buttery wine with oak flavor. Very well balanced.
