... It boasts a dense ruby/purple color as well as rich, full-bodied, supple tannins, abundant fruit and exciting levels of complexity and richness. This cuvee's large production makes it one of the finest quality/quantity Cabernets produced in Napa Valley. Drink it over the next two decades. eRobertParker.com

2004, in good form. Still so much life ahead.

Starts jammy as a breakfast at the Lanesborough then unfolds to a very muscular, articulate wine. It's intense, powerful and extremely focused. Anis, cassis, dark berries marmalade. Can't recall the specifics of the vintage but I feel a quite hot one. The 04 insignia feel quite reductive and over ripe for me. Not my taste at all but a good example of an over the top wine.

All about the dark fruits. Silky smooth in every way. A nice earthiness underneath and a visit in mineral/graphite.

I've had this bottle in the cellar for a LONG time (probably past peak)...waiting for the right occasion. Here is to ten eventful years of Builders Bargain. Jammy, delicate flavor. 13 years of aging has given this a very earthy quality. Decanted for 90 minutes but should get even more spectacular through the evening. Cheers!
