Joseph Drouhin Puligny-Montrachet Chardonnay 2017

$59.99

The 2017 Puligny-Montrachet Village is a little fuller on the nose than the Meursault Village, featuring attractive aromas of hazelnut and orange pith – actually quite Meursault-like in style. The palate is well balanced with impressive concentration, especially for a Village Cru, and crammed full of green apples and pears. A light saline note emerges toward the satisfying finish. Excellent. Neal Martin, Vinous Media

Buttery oak surprised us, didn't fit with szechuan food the way some white burgundies do. Pretty sweet, tart, fruity with full juicy mouthfeel. Best to pair with something else, or drink on its own.
