Jacques Charlet Vielles Vignes Viré-Clessé Chardonnay 2011

8.81 rating on Delectable
$16.99

he 2011 Vire-Clesse Vieilles Vignes comes from five hectares of 50-year-old vines and sees no oak contact. It has a light bouquet with scents of dried peach, jasmine and a touch of almond. The palate is well-balanced but more primal than expected for a 2011, the grapefruit and melon finish too simple and undeserving of that attractive nose. Neil Martin
