Hundred Acre Vineyard Ark Vineyard Cabernet Sauvignon 2005
Another extraordinary wine is the 2005 Cabernet Sauvignon Ark Vineyard from Howell Mountain... It has an extraordinary nose of blueberry, mulberry and blackberry fruit mixed with acacia floral notes, lead pencil shavings (seen to be often a characteristic of Howell Mountain Cabernet Sauvignons) and a full-bodied, multilayered mouthfeel with no sense of heaviness. The fresh acids, the ripe, well-integrated tannin, and stunning concentration are just magnificent. The scary thing about the 2005 Ark Vineyard is that it tastes as if it still has a ways to go – and could even get better! Drink it over the next 20-25 years. Robert Parker

Still needs a big decant, 2-4 hours Good but not seeing the 100 points Parker gave it. Actually 3 hours at most, starts to die after that. I’d put put it behind the 05 Shafer & 05 Vineyard 29 Estate which were 99 points,
